Fibrus delighted to win digital app award

Fibrus, the Northern Ireland based telecommunications provider, bringing full-fibre broadband to homes and businesses across the UK, has announced that it has won the prestigious Digital Construction Awards “Best use of Digital Construction for SHEQ” award.

The Digital Construction Awards celebrate the most pioneering projects, teams, and individuals championing innovation and technology in the built environment.

The award was for the launch of an app which allows the company to provide their staff with instant access to a dedicated digital system which caters for their SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) requirements regarding occupational health and safety, environment and quality assurance.

Speaking after the award was announced, John Evans, Head of HSEQ at Fibrus said that the award was further confirmation of Fibrus’ cutting-edge approach to using technology to improve its customer service and operational excellence.

“As a leader in technology and innovation, we understand the transformative impact an effective digital solution can bring to any business, its employees, and its customers. It was important that the app could be adapted to the evolving needs of our users and have the agility to continuously grow alongside our business needs, to help drive efficiency improvements within our business while also ensuring we were meeting our statutory and ISO Standard requirements.”

He continued,

“As a growing business we wanted to invest in digital systems that would service our business needs, streamline our SHEQ processes and prove to be a real asset to our people, facilitating time saving and efficiency through an easy-to-use solution. As soon as it was launched, the app was viewed as a positive asset to our business from a compliance perspective and was an immediate catalyst for improvements in our H&S culture. Our people quickly identified the app as a real game changer in terms of the ability to document compliance and share SHEQ information quickly.”

He concluded,

“We have been pleased to receive extremely positive feedback from our ISO External Auditors, commending the app for delivering on its promise and facilitating the ISO Accreditations that we aim to achieve. We now have over 50,000 pages views of the app since its launch in April 2021.”
