JOB TITLE: Network Manager

JOB LOCATION: Belfast

TERMS: UK right to work required (no sponsorship available) Field and office/home based.

 

THE JOB

As Fibrus continue to grow, we are seeking a suitably experienced Manager to oversee the maintenance of our network infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the ongoing quality of our network, minimising the impact to our customers and ensuring the coordination of all work in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.         

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Manage the delivery of reactive and planned maintenance on fibre network infrastructure
  • Manage the emergency 24/7 response to incidental damage to network infrastructure
  • Deal with third party public and private enquiries for network adjustments, modifications and other statutory requirements
  • Liaise with Openreach in dealing with PIA related matters
  • Schedule and monitor works by Fibrus approved contractors to achieve stringent safety, programme, commercial and quality requirements
  • Liaise with ISP’s to ensure continuity of network infrastructure and service provision
  • Prioritise responses to incoming incident notifications
  • Deliver operational targets including service SLAs and budgets
  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure to optimise service delivery
  • Management of network damages and support associated cost recovery
  • Providing strong day to day leadership of Fibrus network build in your area.
  • Ensure all work sites are to Chapter 8 requirements and meeting NIRAUC specifications.
  • Working closely with our build and planning partners to form a strong working partnership on site.

 

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

Essential:

  • Experience in both leading and working as part of a team
  • Experience of stakeholder management
  • Experience of fibre network architecture and planning
  • Knowledge of Openreach PIA infrastructure
  • Ability to develop within the role to potentially lead a future team in build/maintenance.
  • Flexibility to work in the field (across NI) or from home/office

 

Desirable:

  • Experience with GIS based platforms (ESRI, QGIS, etc)
  • Experience with fibreoptic splicing and light loss testing
  • Understanding of fibreoptic network components
